this post features the poster i nabbed after the gig on Saturday afternoon. riso goodness by claire wohlnick, i believe. A red look for the dadas inshore, which is actually held in the garage out the back. Gilbert Fawn is the solo project of matt aitken, who looped his balailaka and library of sounds. Pimmon has appeared on Perth label Meupe and played a set of laptop sound balanced upon milk crates. this was smrts’ last gig for the near future due to unfortunate circumstances, but hopefully we will be back in february. a good one, awarded the “best gig in terms of feeling” by band members.

monday was perth library camp, and an inspiring day away from regular work, to look at what others are doing at their own libraries, and what we all want to be doing. i highly recommend that people come to unconferences – despite the dodgy sounding name to some employers, the lack of structure initially only disguises the wealth of information we share on the day. learning and networking are definite plusses.

this week i have been travelling with yoshitomo nara, but tomorrow morning i will be on my way to kuala lumpur, onto macau and finally hong kong. sorry for the short post, i’d been trying to write something all week, but now i have to finish packing as i’m flying out at 6am…
