Last night was a couple of games at Rosemount Bowl for a friend’s birthday, who had never been bowling in his life. We did our best to confuse him with rules beforehand, but by the second game he already was better than an absolute novice!
Makes me want to rewatch Golden Bowl for pointers on how to knock down that difficult split (and how to get Kaneshiro Takeshi).
In that series, they are forever playing games to prevent the Golden Bowl bowling alley from being taken over by evil gangsters. But such retro places are only a few steps up from the other almost extinct pastime, the drive-in (remind self to go to Kingsley sometime ). Themed fun parks are already at the dead and buried stage…
Also there must be something wrong with my technique as I manage to break several of the nails on my bowling hand. Or maybe the holes on the ball are too small.
