March 29th, 2007 what’s lately

i forgot to mention i had my first tooth pulled the other day, and like a phantom child, it was gone. not that i wanted to keep a mostly rotten, broken in half molar anyway. and thanks to my dentist, i’m no longer terrified of having to pull the remaining three, including the one that shows up on my x-ray as growing horizontally into my other teeth.

stina and i got busted today in some crappy discount store for taking pictures. like i give a rats, ass lady!

speaking of delinquents (on film), where is zeny kwok now? i wish she would act in films again…

March 19th, 2007 wow

i finally was able to produce photographs that express exactly what i
mean. is it the olympus pen d, or is it me? i feel relieved that i
have not been wasting my time with cameras! i also feel like my
ability increases the more i photograph. i sent in three rolls
yesterday, which was breaking my bank balance heart, but the results
were worth it.

March 17th, 2007 taking a peek

it’s hardly like i’m the first person to come across these things, but i am so fascinated by them. i’m not interested in cameras that people have placed for exhibitionist tendencies, but security cams and the like for some very mundane purposes…

street1.jpg

like this one selling their wares outside the shop (some sort of food/sweets?) in a quiet street. since tokyo time is practically on par with perth, i watch them open and close shop at roughly the same times as setting off for work and going home!

dogs.jpg

or this girl who keeps an eye on her two dogs while she’s at work. this cam has sound as well, and was suprised to hear “tadaima” one afternoon… almost as excited as her dogs when she prepared their dinner.

temple.jpg

or a temple (some guesswork shows it might be itsukushima shrine in hiroshima) which sounds like it’s next to a school, or else there are some really noisy kids. the camera picks up anyone talking nearby quite loudly, and of course the bells at the shrine. i like to keep it at this view to see who’s passed by after work one afternoon to pray.

temple1.jpg

mostly older people seem to drop by though. the guys were an exception, and one of them even answered his phone.

carpark.jpg

even watching snow and rain in a carpark is odd since we’re in the middle of summer here in place that never snows.

hair.jpg

or having a look at the business in the hairdressers named parisian. they seem quite good, perhaps i’d drop in if i was in the neighbourhood!

my current favourite is just watching a beagle’s tummy rise up and down as he sleeps.

the site on the board at the back of the page just has a single picture of the beagle taking a walk with its owner. maybe the front page isn’t loading properly, but another link shows it’s a site for beagle lovers?
