being the producer/writer/art designer/director/conceptualist for artists such as coltemonihka, nagisa cosmetic, copter4016882, perfume and his main project, capsule. favourite words (from a quick scan of song titles): cosmetic, girl, cutie, sky, starry.
but i have a small thing to pick. doesn’t capsule’s latest release, sugarless girl (below), sound like the more adult and slowed down version of perfume’s chocolate disco (above)? maybe it’s not true, though i did try and play them side by side to figure it out. maybe it’s just a reflection of his current preoccupations (another being guitar sound in his dance tracks and making the girls sing as straight as possible for his vocoder).
either ways, i love the concept of both videos, even if chocolate disco may give you pikachu inspired fit.

i think he may use a little vocoder for the harmonic choruses, to be a TOTAL nerd, it’s auto-tune that he uses, on a very high setting - that’s what causes the big glicks between notes. It’s another one of those tools that has been used so much in the pop industry, that using it too much is now an art form (see Cher, Tommy February6 etc…)

It’s ok, I don’t think much of Mika Nakashima’s two “gospel”-wannabe singles either. I just pity her because “Mienai Hoshi” is obviously a record company decision.
(sorry for the late response, blogger doesn’t notify me when I get comments)
